Senior Neuropsychology Services
Greenhouse provides highly specialized neuropsychological testing and diagnostics to pinpoint cognitive impairments of patients that may otherwise be difficult to diagnose and treat using only conventional methods.*
Neuropsychological assessment is a valuable and useful tool to help diagnose and define neurological illnesses such as dementia, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or traumatic brain injury. It is particularly appropriate for anyone displaying new or increased confusion, difficulty with memory, or other difficulties with processing and functioning. It measures specific brain functions, such as:
- Attention/concentration
- Memory
- Language
- Constructional praxis
- Executive functions and more.
Neuropsychological assessment can be used to determine an appropriate level of care and what functioning a patient can maintain or restore through rehabilitation. Neuropsychological test results are often most profound when used to inform and build upon the work of rehabilitation therapists, such as speech and physical therapists.
